Russian court bans Jehovah's Witnesses from Moscow QUOTE Moscow-AP -- A Moscow court has banned the Jehovah's Witnesses from performing their religious activities in the Russian capital. Prosecutors say the religion destroys families and fosters hatred. A district court agrees and has now outlawed it in the capital under a provision that allows courts to ban religious groups that incite hatred or intolerant behavior. A Canadian lawyer for the group says he'll appeal the decision to higher Russian courts and pursue it in the European Court of Human Rights. He says religious minorities are often a litmus test for where a society is going and that this is an …

Psychos, I'm sure the places you come from have some very interesting histories. Coming from Nova Scotia, home of the earliest post-Viking, post-Celtic and post-native settlements in North America, I know the importance of history and am facinated by it. So, what can you tell me about where you live?

Seattle Mayor to Recognize Gay Marriages NEWS FROM 1 hour ago!!! By ELIZABETH M. GILLESPIE, Associated Press Writer SEATTLE - Seattle's mayor said Sunday the city will begin recognizing the marriages of gay employees who tie the knot elsewhere, although it will not conduct its own same-sex weddings. Mayor Greg Nickels was to sign an executive order Monday giving same-sex spouses of city employees all the benefits of heterosexual spouses, including health insurance. He also planned to send a proposal to the City Council that would extend that recognition to employees of city contractors and protect the rights of all same-sex married couples in Seattle. …

It has come to my attention that if not careful RECORD COMPANIES SUCC! I see it happening with POE, its happend to one of my favorite rappers (Brotha Lynch Hung) with Blacc Market Records, and has happend to Hank Williams 3 with Curb records.....all have one thing in common and thats scandelous folks like to own people and do as they wish with artists creativity and could give two thoughts less about what the product is OR I OWN YOU! Succs that talented artist have to go through this and they tell us fans they got alot of material to put out but not letting old ways have it. I agree.....Independant is hard but the way to go. Fans are family and we can get the …

Aside from this post being a cheap way for me to introduce myself to all of you, who've already been dwelling inside this forum for a few aeons, this post is also what it simply says it is...and my apologies if anyone else has already begun a similar thread. I poked around and didn't find anything. We're all a collective Angry Psycho as we are followers of Poe and her music, but what makes us individually psychotic? Perhaps you consider yourself "normal," something I strongly doubt, perhaps you've got a passion for making things blow up, or perhaps you suffer from a variety of diagnosed diseases of the mind, and must have electrodes slapped un…

The other one got full. In the tradition of RI, Food, and How do you feel?, this thread shall now be continued on. I can't stop listening to that song by Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara. The Cranberries were also good for today.

I've been playing Hounds of Love by Kate Bush nonstop lately. It truly is one of the greatest albums ever made. I especially love "Hello Earth!" And Bjork's Live Box Set...the live recording of "Pluto" is absolutely brilliant! And Tori Amos' new compilation, Tales of a Librarian. I love the remastering she did to all her old songs...the changes are very subtle but oh so cool. What else? Oh! PJ Harvey's Is This Desire? Gotta love Polly Jean. And you?

I always forget the date though, so let's hope this website that told me it was the 23rd is right. so...what the hell, why not start a topic now before I forget and we can start making up crazy things for Poe to do on her bday, as I'm sure that's where this will go once it gets off topic, among other places...

I felt like starting a new thread and got the idea from Poe reminding me of my paper...even though my paper had nothing scientific in it, I suppose one could discuss how sound travels and how it affects people and whatnot...scientifically or not. perhaps I'll get off my lazy internet ass and look up an article or something, but not at the moment.

A few years ago, I downloaded a song from Napster called "The Abuse." It was attributed to Poe, and it sounded like it could've been her, but I couldn't be certain. I know she played in a band while she was in college. Anyone know about this song? Here are the lyrics: Cut right through and tell me what you see Is it all that it should be? You try for something, but it's all for nothing Does it have to be this way? Nice to know you are The faster falling star Room to breathe, but you could suffocate You tried, but it's too late You still fall down into a bed of nails Ministry of pain Nice to know you are The faster falling star Nice to kno…
