Hey everyone! I LOVE Poe, but I have to say Tori is probably my favorite girlie singer. I've seen her live 24 times in 7 states and met her 4 times (and sadly in the Tori community that is NOT a lot...a certain fan has seen the woman live over 500 times). But anyway, anyone else like her? If so, do you have a favorite song or album or show or era or video or whatever? Robert

I am writing www.realpoe.com on all my money and on bathroom walls (j/k) and other stuff and notice when you come here there is no music. We want to get these people to hear her angelic voice as soon as they type in www.realpoe.com and hit enter. We want to keep them here by hearing some good tunes. If some people come here and can't do anything but see a few pics they will leave. Can somebody put some clips on here?

Does anyone have screenshots of the Hey Pretty video? I was looking for some stills, but I don't see any anywhere. And I thought this would be a good place to ask. I'd like some for graphics and stuff.

QUOTE Los Angeles -- In a forceful preview of the Bush administration's expansionist military policies in this election year, Vice President Dick Cheney Wednesday painted a grim picture of what he said was the growing threat of a catastrophic terrorist attack in the United States and warned that the battle, like the Cold War, could last generations. The vice president's tone, in a major address to the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, was sobering, unlike many other comments recently by senior administration officials that have stressed successes in the war on terrorism. Are we willing to live through generations of war to satisfy the right? Is terrorism truly …

Earlier, I saw this thing on TV that was talking about how we are naturally attracted to and find beauty in things that are orderly and familiar. It was showing how equations could be used to explain things in nature and whatnot, but then I got to wondering...what about chaos? Isn't chaos beautiful in its unbound glory as well? So now I feel like finding something written about chaos.

I thought it may be a good idea to start posting some links to radio station sites that may play POE, since it will probably take more that one e-mail to get her played with any regularity. Here is one from the Chicago area, a Rock/Alternative station called the Zone. Choose James VanOsdol's name in the To: line as he is the music director. http://www.zone947.com/contactus.asp Please do post sites for stations in your hometown so we can all contribute, regardless of where we are located!

I understood quite a bit of what Poes "fictional" story was about and I recognize a recurring reference to a certain person but the other (starting with the O) I cannot figure out who that person is referencing and I cannot make out some of the story. Could someone, since Poe cannot say, PM me or email me and decode the story for me as I am a little lost. I know some of it but not all and it is driving me quite mad.

ok...I have to tell EVERYONE about this so maybe lots of people will come, because we need lots of people to come. Next Friday, Jan. 16th, there will be a show put on by some drag kings (yes, kings. as far as i know, there won't be any queens, but i could be wrong.) The purpose of this thing is to make people aware of the gender neutral bathroom campaign that went on here (we got them) and well...who wouldn't want to have a drag show at their school? It'll be fun. So yes, if you're interested, please tell whoever you can. If not, don't mind my rambling. Send this to whatever appropriate mailing lists you're on, tell friends, post on websites,…

I've been having a lot of conflicts with the guitarist in my band lately and I've finally convinced him to make the band we've been working on the past couple years a side project, and focus on a different style of material. I've suggested a couple of names and he hasn't liked any of them so I figured who else to ask but you psychos You're all the most creative group of people I know to ask. Sooo... Yeah... Whoever gives the best name gets a prize Thanks for whatever suggestions that may come. -Megano

Just a little excited/psycho... While I was talking to Axel on 99x, I requested P+E on the air, so maybe that will stir some curiousity or refresh people's memories of the songs I mentioned that no one has heard in a while. I'm glad they have vowed to play more obscure songs, especially because that's where I first heard "Angry Johnny" 8 years ago! Just trying to raise awareness in Atlanta!!!

I think artists like Kate and Patti Smith and Joan Jett paved the way for artists like Bjork, Tori Amos, PJ Harvey, Fiona Apple, Aimee Mann, our very own Poe, and so on. The female singer/songwriter! The latter two get a lot of recognition for their accomplishments, but I hardly ever see any Kate Bush-appreciation! So we love you Kate! "And if I only could make a deal with God, I'd get him to swap places I'd be running up that road Be running up that hill Be running up that building."

This thread is a sequel to the astounding "1", the wacky "1" and the dynamic "1". Please read all three in order to discover what has happened so far. This is a thread for storytelling. Feel free to participate, but beware of the great punishment for posting story parts that do not agree with the previous parts of the story. There will be no candy canes or eggnog for those who do not obey. And now, the story begins anew with the heartwarming A VERY PSYCHO CHRISTMAS.

Since I know you all want to spread the e-<3, post here with all your holiday wishes. A Merry Christmas to all. May you get plastered, recieve many gifts, and not overdose on turkey and ham causing all the blood in your body to rush to your digestive tract to help digest all the crap you've taken in, causing too little blood to go to your head, causing you to get sleepy, and possibly die. Yeah, don't die. Oh, and, Happy Hannukah, Kwanzaa and any other things you might be celebrating. And I apologize if I massacred the spelling of your celebration.

My friend Rob Glaser, recently invited me to attend a dinner in New York City for something called THE GLOBAL FUND. It was not a fund-raiser, but a brain storming session of sorts. It was magnificently inspiring, to say the least. 20 extremely powerful people sat there for 3 hours discussing how to solve the problem of Aids, TB, and Malaria world-wide. There were a few celebrities who attended...like Bono for instance (who has been very outspoken about this problem) but there were also more anonymous folks--whose names you might not recognize, but who have dedicated an immense amount of time, energy, and resources to this problem: the prime minister of Iceland …
