I got a few ideas on how to shake up interest for P+E around the world. P+E aint that well known here (in Australia) but I bought a copy of Haunted for my friend Sarah (who then added the whole thing to her University radio station so tracks get random play often!) and I transferred the last remaining copies in Australia to my store to be given as christmas presents this year (I work in a musci store). I am doing my best to spread the word of P+E around my way. But I had a few ideas... Some of you guys wrote about handing out $1 bills with this sites URL on it, others posting P+E balls around campuses. How about a P+E treasure hunt? What I am going to do is come…

I'm sorry if this should go somewhere else, but I figured you all seem opinionated and intelligent, something you don't find everyday on message boards. Has anyone else noticed how closeminded folks can be when it comes to music? I mean this isn't in regards to personal preference, but just complete utter disregard to any genre outside the confines of their CD collection. Folks who are so quick to say "rap sucks" "I'll listen to anything but country" or "chick bands always blow". It's so irritating! How can you call yourself a true music fan if you aren't open to hearing different takes on the art? I mean at leas…

In 1996 I got to meet her before and after her Pontiac Michigan show. Part of what made this so great was I didn't even know I was going to the show until about 10 minutes before I left. My then Girl Friend (now my wife) had bought ONE ticket, and I had just spent about a grand fixing my car and had no money for concerts. So she was going to go by herself, and I was going to go to work (I work afternoons). As it turned out, Jen had to go to work too. She had forgotten to ask for the day off and was scheduled to work the afternoon shift the day of the show. So now we were both out of luck. A friend at work expressed intrest in the ticket, so I brought it to work the da…

I was going to post this in the Haunted forum, but I couldn't post anything there! This is my Journal entry from November 12, 2001 Saturday night I went to see Poe at the Shelter in Detroit! Damn what a great show! Things didn't start off so great though. Standing in line before the show it was efin' cold! But that wasn't the worst of it! Some drunken bum pissed on my shoes! He was pissing behind a dumpster when for some reason he turned around and ran towards me, still pissing. I backed up as fast as I could, but he got the toe of my left shoe. I love Detroit. But once I got inside things were better. The opening band wa…

So what's the deal? Are the psychos still the "Angry Psychos" ... or are we Repoe men/women/girls/boys/animals/other? I'm a little confused, the AP mailing list has been very quite. Will the AP mailing list ever be in use again, or is conversation turning to the message boards entirely? ~Dre

Anybody watch Angels in America on HBO? I'd be interested to hear what ya'll thought of it. Having never read/seen it before, I'd still heard a lot about it, but I was really moved. Some parts were kind of hard to watch...raises lots of questions, lays bare a lot of fears I have. But yeah, I'll be there next week. And I had NO idea that Meryl Streep was the rabbi. Ok, I'm gonna go cry now. Xander

For some reason I am not getting email updates, so I thought that others might not be receiving them, either. Anyways, there is another 3 minute Poe vid on the front page called 'The Lover'.

are you feeling festive? need something to get in a holiday mood about? want presents? well, i've got an idea i think we should have a psycho xmas grab bag. something small. whoever wants to participate. we'll pick who you give to/get from at random. $5 or less, plus shipping. i feel like this is a friendly enough place to do such a thing. what do you think? i think if we get enough people who want to do this, then we will do it. add yourself below if you want to participate.

Anyone else ever heard of them? They do music for animes since they are on Pioneer's record label but they arent very big statewise. They're really good and very nice. www.boaweb.com is their site I believe, their music is pretty cool, got alot of accoustics and some jazzy/bluesy elements with rock edge.

Hey, anyone on here on Friendster? For some reason interest searches for Poe always come up blank....that totally sucks. Either everyone on that site has NO TASTE, or for some reason the powers that be have engineered an elaborate scheme to prevent us from connecting Much love, Xander

I've been listening to those 2 songs a lot lately. I also send some people the kick ass remix of "Center of the Sun" (the stone solar chilled out remix) since I just find it so calming and think that more people should be exposed to Poe. ooh-and the other day I was walking with someone by the lake and just thought that "Make a Wish" would be appropriate to get in my head and have no other thoughts there. it's nice to not think sometimes.
