D&D Even then I should have known I wasn’t a novelist. I was 10 or 11 and had bought four or five of the books. A "Grimtooth’s Traps," a "Dungeon Master’s Guide," and, I think, a "Goblin List." I’d spent all my father’s time and about eighty bucks. Then there were those heavy-as-lead lead figurines. I’d painted three wizards, two knights on horses, a couple of good trolls. I was saving up for ogres and two red queens. I had a velvet pouch of polyhedral die and real “parchment” scrolls. One summer Steven Boatwright came over and we decided to play. I took out the box, broke out the books, readied the pen and paper. A long game could last …

OK, I've gotten as far as figuring out that the sample from "Fingertips" is a song called "Like A Lover" which has many cover versions. I'm wondering if anyone knows which version is used in "Fingertips". I'd love to hear that as well.

Did anyone get that? Work demands that I don't spend as much time on message boards, so this may have been posted before, but it's worth reposting! So, I sat and took in the song this morning again and realized that the lady herself seemed to be sitting crosslegged on my desk at work (I'm a studio manager for Jambetta Studios, NYC) singing to me. Like her finger was under my chin, lifting my gaze to hers, and singing to me about how lucky she is to have us, how lucky she is to be doing what she'd be doing on an ordinary day, but in the extraordinary way of doing it through Rhys. She thanks me for being patient and excepting this, this little thing …

Multicultural week is next week at my school. I should bring bagpipes. ORANGES! Papier mache has a weird texture. Soap made in school labs? Doesn't work. Sleeping bags are where you sleep when you camp. I have a headache. Boourns. Where have all the flowers gone? Long time passing.

well, law of nature, for every particle, except a few things like photons, there must be an anti-particle, so here is the anti-thread to the other i just created. this one will probably die off, like much of the anti-matter has wandered off somewhere...i coudn't understand enough of the theory to get why there is more matter than antimatter. -Being apathetic -Assholes -Losing people in various ways -Having to spend all my money on things like bills for internet I'm not getting where are god and satan when you need them?

I'm back after a way too long absence. What the heck is going on? last time I checked it was poe vocal chord surgery. Has everything come out alright? How is everyone's summer going so far? Whatcha all been up to? I poked in the news and didn't see much. This new stuff for Cinjure One sounds good. I have all of Delerium's stuff, so this should be interesting. I hope you all are well. ~peace~ xo M

so what are your plans for pride? Motor City pride is this sunday, an all day affair. I'll be in chicago for June 26th for their parade, which is the same day as Toronto and Lansing (Michigan's capitol). anyway, who's playing what, who's going where, what's happening in the festive pride month near you? June is always a good rainbow time.

Has anyone heard this song? I can't seem to find a full CD or single CD that has it on it? Anyone have a sample? or can direct me where to go to find this? The lyrics are fantastic. I'd love to hear poe's wonderful voice singing them.

Hi, I'm new here. I bought the book "House Of Leaves" a few months ago but I'm a very slow reader so I was wondering if anyone could tell me where in the book the monologue from "Hey Pretty" is included? I love the song and have been in love with it since it came out. Thanks for the help and I'm extremely sorry if this has been posted before because I know how annoying it is when new people come to message boards and ask mundane questions.

I was last on the AP mailing list around 2000 as redhalcyon or somesuch, but since then I've been pretty far out of the loop. (Apparently the mailing list is kaput now?) Anyway, I'm cleaning out the record collection and I've got a few CDs that some of you might be interested in, and I wanted to give you all the first crack at them. So I hope you don't mind if I put this out there. Stuff: Hello x2 (albums, one of which includes the horny version of "Junkie") Haunted Hello (remix single) Hello (regular, 2-track single) Rise and Shine (single) Trigger Happy Jack (single) email me if you're interested etc.

Recently I finished coding up a website for the Red vs Blue Album Club. Basically, every two weeks we pick a new CD to listen to critically and discuss. The first disc was The Human Equation by Ayreon, and that was my co-captain's pick. Mine is Hello. The website is here, and as the truest fans of Poe's music, here is what I currently plan to write about the disc for the front page when it's promoted as the club selection on July 1st: QUOTE Poe is a talented singer/songwriter who took her name from the famous writer Edgar Allen Poe. "Hello" is her first disc, released back in October of 1995. This CD shows its form as a passionate mixture of he…

So there's these two guys, Peter and Grayson, and they want to be heroes. One's a Ranger, the other's a ...actually, I'm not really sure. Anyway, this series is all about their endeavor to go from the nothing that they are now, to the heroes they dream about being. Plus, when they slay the drsea captains log, they're going to get to split its pot of 50k gold, and that's 20k each! The website be here. They're finishing up episode 14 of season 1 right now, and having watched all the episodes and side-quests they've done since its inception, it's really, really good. It's also entirely SFW (safe for work), as there's not …

I'm too lazy to read all these threads tonight. But yay for the board being active again! I got a basket with an assload of Hershey's kisses on Monday and I have eaten them all. I spilled coffee on my shirt today and had to wear it all day. I let a vendor of ours know that I would like to come work for them. Assorted naughtinesses are fun. (Is naughtinesses a word?)
