November 22, 200322 yr It could be Happy, Herpes, Hairy...any number of creative two-syllable H-words. I don't care what she names it just as long as the thing comes out.
November 23, 200322 yr Just a thought about people spreading around unreleased material: in the last days of The Smashing Pumpkins when Virgin was hopping the Spice Train, Billy Corgan sent around demos to be encoded into MP3 and passed along on the net. The same happened with the last album Machina II/The Friends And Enemies Of Modern Music which he printed into vinyl and sent to about 25 people with the message 'make these songs available now.'No money was made off of these songs (except for the few included on the Greatest Hits/Rotten Apples collection) but they were released. Something to think about
November 25, 200322 yr Yes, a very interesting suggestion indeed. Which of course, by simply having been mentionned puts you-know-who under the eyeglass. So let's all pretend this discussion never happened and erase all traces of it. Though an 'accidental' release could bring about a rather interesting situation. It's happened quite a few times in the past that artists have had to hasten the release of a record so as not to miss the promotional boat when a new song was leaked on the net (which I wouldn't condone if it went against the artist's will). But now, say the songs did get out on the net, Atlantic would be forced to make a decision: either profit from the distribution of those songs or let them flow freely on the net. That or bring down the internet, but we all know how well that little endeavour's been going for the RIAA. Lest we forget that record companies are in it for the money and little if anything else... One could liken this to patent infringement cases. Companies will sometimes steal a patented idea on purpose, be taken to court by it's rightfull owner who in the end pretty much ends up being forced to sign a licensing agreement with the offending company. Once you've set a precedent, Who's gonna turn back time and undo it? If playing nice doesn't work, play dirty. So long as your goal is righteous and you don't hurt anyone. In the end, justice and the law are two veeeeery different concepts.
November 25, 200322 yr I can't wait for some new stuff from POE. She is so amazing. I know that no matter how long it takes, it will definitely be worth the wait. We love you POE!!!!!!

I personally like the way they play off of one another and how the album helps you understand the book and vice versa. ~M~
January 3, 200422 yr Going with the "starting with an H" and "two syllable" thing...Hollow.(as in 'hollow is a good portion of the mega-music labels')-Lostie
January 12, 200422 yr I would fight a den full of lions for a 3rd Poe album! Why doesn't the title be sort of a culmination type thing? Like..."Hell's Hello"...
January 14, 200422 yr Well, "Herpes" may be appropriate...didn't Poe sing "Rise and Shine" at some AIDS thing? I guess it seems natural to continue on the STD circuit.
January 15, 200422 yr In the interest of not sounding like an insensitive prick, I'd highly advise reading up on the backstory behind Rise and Shine before comparing it to a herpes album. Not to sound snappy or rude or anything, I'm just too F&$@ing sleep deprived to try and reword anything at the moment.
January 16, 200422 yr Its ok. I didn't mean to offend or anything, I knew that there was some association of the song with an AIDS foundation or what not. And being gay, I am definitely not trying to poke fun at AIDS.
January 16, 200422 yr It was a benefit for a rather young child infected with AIDS and cancer. Really sad story, but quite beautiful.
